May 29, 2013 – DAY 174

STUDENTS:  The Private Industry Council (PIC) Summer Youth Employment Program is designed to give youth the opportunity to learn new work-skills and become valuable members of their community. The program is for ages 16-21 and will begin in mid-June or early July, then run until the end of September.  Applications are in the Guidance Office and Library.

WRITER’S WORKSHOP:  The last writer’s workshop of the school year will be held on Thursday in the library during the extended homeroom.

TRACK & FIELD TEAM MEMBERS:  All uniforms and equipment must be turned in this week to Coach Picc or Coach Girod as soon as possible.  Hold slips will be given and letters will be withheld unless all equipment is turned in.

STUDENTS:  It is not too late to travel!  See Mrs. Gartley or Mr. Girod if you want to have a great adventure next winter.

SUMMER BASKETBALL LEAGUE:  Sign-up forms for the Bailey Park Summer Basketball League are available in the office.  All students, including graduating seniors are eligible to play.  The league will run during the month of July.

PSAT:  Anyone interested in taking the PSAT in the fall, please see Mrs. Baker by the end of the year so we can get an estimate amount of tests to order.  If you participate in Upward Bound or receive a free/reduced lunch, see Mrs. Baker to request a fee waiver.

LIBRARY:  Please return all library books by Tuesday, May 28th.  Hold slips will be issued and you will not get your report card.

FALL SPORTS 2013-2014 SCHOOL YEAR:  Fall sports physicals which include:  football, soccer, golf, cross country, and volleyball, will be given on June 5th at 8:30 a.m. in the health room.  You must have a completed CIPPE form turned into the nurse 1 week before June 5th.  It is very important that you get this done.  You must have a physical in order to participate in any sport.

ICE HOCKEY PLAYERS:  Frazier Hockey Association will be conducting ice hockey try outs.  Come out and learn what we are all about.  Saturday June 1 the ice mine 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m.  All players that register and pay their $200.00 early commitment fee will receive a free hockey t-shirt.  We are looking forward to seeing you on the ice.

CAFETERIA PATRONS:  With our last day of school fast approaching, we are asking that all students, faculty & staff please pay their outstanding cafeteria balances.  ALL accounts are expected to be paid in full by the close of the school year.

  • Students:  A hold slip will be put on our report card if you have any cafeteria balance due.
  • Seniors:  Diplomas will not be used until your cafeteria balance is paid in full.

Should you have any questions or need to know what your balance is ask at the cafeteria registers, they will be glad to help you with any concerns you may have about your account.  Thank you, your immediate attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.
