Middle School Competitive Swimming Clinic

This program will instruct students on the basic skills needed to participate in competitive swimming. They will learn the front and back crawl, breaststroke and butterfly stokes. They will learn to turns at each end and how to do a headfirst entry.

This programs is for 6, 7 and 8th grade students who can either swim one length of the pool or support themselves (swim) off the bottom of the pool for one minute. NOTE, this is NOT a ”learn how to swim program”.

The clinic will be held on May 2nd to May 5th from 2:50 until 4:00. Parent pick up time is at 4:15.

There will be transportation from LaFayette and Ben Franklin. Students will ride the buses that normally go from the middle school to the senior high.

Parents are expected to pick up their children at 4:15 in front of the pool entrance area. please email edward.yauger@uasdraiders.org if this is going to keep you from participating in the program.
