Movie Review: Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure

This late 80’s comedy starred Alex Winter as Bill and Keanu Reeves as Ted. This time traveling comedy is seen as a cult classic among fans. Garnering two sequels Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey (1991) and Bill & Ted Face the Music that came out this year, met with positive reviews.

Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is about two high school himbos that have spent too much time forming their rock band, the Wyld Stallyns that they are failing history. Rufus comes from the future with a time traveling phone booth to take them to the past to learn about history’s most influential personalities but will it be good enough to pass history?

Bill & Ted is a good movie to watch when you want something that’s doesn’t make you think too much. It’s not a masterpiece but it’s not the worst movie out there. The directors made a good choice in deciding to not take the serious root with this film. I can see why many people of all ages can enjoy this movie with its like-able characters and crude humor. Many consider this a cult classic with its nostalgia of the 80’s and its classic rock soundtrack and its quirky plot it just seems so timeless. I would give this movie a 7/10.
