New Years Resolutions

My name is Karsyn Chiado and like most students, I have had quite the year. The pandemic was scary and so many things happened throughout 2021. I have a few resolutions to start off my year, the first being to eat healthier and focus more on myself and what my body needs to stay as healthy as possible. I also would like to do a bit of traveling, preferably to somewhere I have never been. Lastly I would like to spend more time with my family. I have a great bond with them, but as a graduate this year I may not be in Uniontown much longer so I have to use the privilege of being able to be so close with my family to good use before I start the next chapter in my life.

The first student I chose for this article is also graduating this year, and that is Sophia Friend. Sophia’s New Years resolution is to spend more time focusing on herself. She feels that with all that has gone on the past few years with Covid that she owes herself a year to focus on what she needs to keep herself happy and healthy. Sophia is an outgoing fun personality who deserves to be successful and proud of the person that she is.

The second student I chose for this article is another friend of mine, Brandon Hebda. Brandon says that his New Years resolution is to start keeping up with his school work. The past two years of school haven’t been the easiest, being online and not in person has been a struggle for some students. Brandon wants to break that bad habit and focus on school this year. Mr. Hebda is also a graduate this year and can’t wait to move onto bigger and better things.
