November 5, 2012 – DAY 46

FOOD DRIVE:  Student Council, SADD and Interact Clubs are sponsoring a food drive for the holiday season.  Anyone interested in donating canned or non-perishable goods may turn them into the Guidance office by Friday, Nov. 16, 2012.

STUDENT COUNCIL/INTERACT CLUB:  The Student Council and Interact Club meetings have been re-scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 8th.  Students should report to homeroom to get their report cards then attend the meeting.  All homeroom presidents and vice-presidents are asked to attend.

CLASS OF 2013, 2014, & 2016:  Freshman, juniors & seniors support your class.  We are having a Gertrude Hawke Christmas Candy sale and we need you to help.  Students interested in selling please get the form from room 310 or 308.  Even if you can only sell one or two items it will help your class.  The chocolate is top quality and people can even order online.  Sale will continue from now until Nov. 16th.

JUNIORS:  Any junior interested in receiving information regarding a global travel scholarship program, please see Mrs. Vaccaro in room 301.

ART CLUB:  Just a reminder the Awe Field Trip form for the Art Club is due Wednesday Nov. 7th in the art room.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL:  Please turn in all uniforms to Coach Piccolomini by Wednesday of this week in room 510 or hold slips on report cards will be issued.

SWIM TEAM MEMBERS:  There will be a dry land conditioning today, Wednesday and on Thursday.  Bring your suits.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY MEMBERS:  Meeting rescheduled for today at 7:00 p.m. room 235.

CROSS COUNTRY:  Congratulations to the girls cross country team for finishing #8 in the state of Pennsylvania and #1 out of all WPIAL schools.  Best in the West!  Raider runners were Katie Burgess, Alexis Wivell, Paige Tibbe, Jade Bellotti, Rachel Diamond and All State medalists, Julie Gerber and Julie Friend.  Also, congratulations to Nate Edenfield and Brady Guthrie for their great finishes at the state championship.

JUNIOR SENIOR DANCE:  This years Junior/Senior dance “Hollywood Nights” is being held on Friday Nov. 16th at the Holiday Inn in Uniontown.  The cost of the tickets is $40.00 per person or $80.00 per couple.  Tickets will be sold Oct. 29th through November 2nd.  All students must have a completed permission slip PRIOR to purchasing a ticket.  Students taking someone that is not a Uniontown student must also have a guest request form filled out.  Both forms can be picked up in the office or in room 310.  You will not be permitted to purchase a ticket without them.

ASVAB:  Test any grade 10,11, or 12 student who wishes to take the ASVAB test should pick up a permission slip in the guidance office.  The test will be given on November 28th.
