The Uniontown Boys Basketball team came out on top Tuesday, February 19 with the hard fought win against the Blackhawk Cougars. The Uniontown Red Raiders beat the Blackhawk Cougars 66-61 Tuesday night at Cannon Mac in the first round of the WPIAL AAA 3 (District) standings playoffs. The Uniontown Raiders advance to the second round of the WPIAL AAA 3 (District) standings playoffs with the record of 17-3. The Red Raiders were lead by Jordan Pratt with a total of 24 points. Behind Pratt was Christian Kezmarsky with a total of 15 Points. Xavier Ellis had 10 points, Dreher Winfrey had 9 points and Jeremy Perkins had 8 points. The Raiders were 18 for 34 from the free throw line as a team. The Uniontown Red Raiders will be Playing the Mars Planets Friday, February 22 at 8:00pm at the high school Baldwin in the second round of the playoffs. The Mars Planets are 29-5 in the season and are seed No.2 while the Uniontown Red Raiders are 17-3 in the season and are the No.7 seed. This game has not been predicted a winner yet. This will be a tough game for the Red Raiders through their journey in the playoffs.
