The Silver Key Award went to our foreign exchange student Lisa Massacrier for a piece she created called “Souffrance”. Her piece displayed lots of different hues of reds and dramatic lines that really stood out. We congratulate her for her amazing effort.
A special congratulations to the grand prize winner Paige Tibbe, who put together an entire portfolio of multiple pieces that stunned the judges. Her pieces included seven paintings, and one clay creation. Her paintings consisted of some self portraits, as well as other portraits of many inspiring subjects. She won a gold award for her entire collection and two pieces in particular were selected for individual awards.
In addition to the actual awards ceremony and presentation, there was an exhibit to show off everyone’s hard work. This exhibit took place from January twenty eighth to February tenth at California University of Pennsylvania. There were a total of twenty nine schools in the following three counties; Fayette, Greene, and Washington.
Congratulations to all who participated! Click on the thumbnails below to view a full size picture of each piece.
