Senior Spotlight: Jazmine Anderson

Jazmine Anderson is a Senior at Uniontown Area high school and previously attended Menallen Elementary School and Ben Franklin Middle School.

Activities: 4-H, Academic League, Marching band as a silk for three years, Upward Bound, National Honor Society

Future Plans: I will be attending Saint Vincent College in the fall for nursing. From there I plan on continuing my education to become a Certified Nurse Midwife at some other University

Fun Fact: I have been the secretary of my 4-H club for the past three years

Favorite Quote: “I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13

Advice to Upcoming Seniors: Don’t be afraid to try new things; take that class, ask that guy out, try out for that team. Because high school is over before you know it and you don’t want to look back and think, “What if….”

Thoughts on Senior Year Ending so Abruptly: I am definitely disappointed but I am glad that I got to make what memories I could with my friends

Shout Outs/Thank Yous:Mom: Thank you for giving me the courage to chase my dreams no matter how many times they changed. Shayna: Thank you for sticking by my side all 4 years even when everyone else left. Mr. Miller: Thank you for believing in my creative writing abilities even when I did not. Upward Bound Staff: Thank you for the guidance you gave me on my college search, because of you I have found my dream school.
