Senior Spotlight: Mya Murray

Activities: Senior Class Officer, National Honors Society, Gifted Program, Varsity Academic League, 4.0 Club, and the student section leader. Captain for volleyball and basketball teams and track. Volunteer at the Uniontown Hospital, the Salvation Army, and Calvary Baptist Church nursery.

Future Plans: Brown University to play Division I Ivy League basketball. Majoring in Biology and then continuing at a medical school to become a cardiologist.

Fun Fact: “I love to travel. I visited over half of the states to play basketball at tournaments. This last summer, I went on a mission trip to Saltillo, Mexico for a week.”

Advice for Upcoming Seniors: “Have fun, but be responsible. Make the most out of your last year in high school while still focusing on your grades and preparing for your future.”

Thoughts on Senior Year: “It has been a roller coaster ride. This has been my favorite year of high school and I am glad I made all the memories while I could, but I am ready to move onto a new chapter of my life.”

To everyone else in my life, thank you for every interaction we have had because it has made me into the person I am today and wouldn’t be where I am today without that.
