CAREER CONFERENCE:  A representative from Waynesburg University will be visiting on September 27.  Interested juniors & seniors may sign up in the guidance office.

CROSS COUNTRY:   Congratulations to the boys’ and girls’ cross country team on their win against both A.G. & T.J.  Great job!

VOLLEYBALL:  Congratulations to the girls’ volleyball team with a section match win over Brownsville.  The team would like to thank the student body & the drummers for their continued support.  Go Raiders!

GOLF:  Congratulations to Luke Wallace on making the WPIAL Golf Championships.  Luke will be competing at Fox Chapel Country Club against the best golfers in the WPIAL.  The team will be dismissed today at 1:00 for their match against Elizabeth Forward.

SPANISH STUDENTS:  Spanish students who are in Spanish 3 this semester or already took Spanish 3, please meet with Mr. Girod in 500m 508 during activity period on Thursday.

SOPHOMORES, JUNIONS & SENIORS:  The Balfour Representative will be at school to take class ring orders the following date and times:

  • Thursday, Oct. 4th during all lunch periods and from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.  A $60.00 deposit is required and payment plans are available.  Additional packets are available in the office.  Don’t miss out on a Uniontown Tradition!

CROSS COUNTRY & TRACK & FIELD:  Juniors & seniors who have qualified for WPIAL’s and are interested in competing in college, please see Mr. Girod today.

ART CLUB:  Art club will meet during extended homeroom on Thursday be sure to have your by laws signed so that you are able to vote for officers.

JUNIORS:  We are selling Sarris pretzels again and need you to help.  Students willing to sell please see Mrs. Crothers in room 310.  Top seller will receive a $50.00 gift card.

BIG BROTHERS/BIG SISTERS:  Big brothers/big sisters needs your help to mentor elementary students at Lafayette School.  This is a great opportunity to help a child and earn community service time.  If you would like to volunteer, see Mrs. Golden in the guidance office.

GRAPHIC DESIGN:  Official spirit week shirts will be available to order for the next two days only.  Short sleeve is $13.00 and long sleeve is $15.00.  Place your order with Mrs. Marzano in 125 today.  Shirts will be delivered during homeroom on Thursday Oct. 4th.

FRESHMAN & SENIORS:  Pick up your sarris candy pretzel rods in room 308 from Miss Carbonara

PSAT:  The PSAT will be given here on Sat. Oct. 20th.  Any 10th or 11th grade student interested in taking the test should see Mrs. Baker in the library.  Space is limited and the fee is $16.00.

AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING:  Any student interested in after school tutoring please see Mrs. Lane in room 506 or Mrs. Smith in room 229 for an application.  Tutoring begins on Oct. 1st.  Snacks and transportation will be provided.
