Steelers Draft Pickett

The Steelers selected Kenny Pickett first overall, as the 20th pick. Nobody was certain if the Steelers would select him as their first pick. He has small hands for a quarterback, which made some people doubt his ability and his potential. Although, I don’t think the size of ones hands determines if they are good or not.

This year Pickett was a contender for the Heisman but fell short to Alabama’s, Bryce Young. He did manage to win the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award as a senior. Which is given to college football’s top upperclassmen quarterback of the year. In 2021 he led the Pittsburgh Panthers to an ACC championship.

All in All, I’m excited to watch Pickett and how his future unfolds. He’s a very exciting player to watch, and he might even be rookie of the year. I hope that he can prove himself and earn a starting spot before the season starts. He was kind of the hometown underdog, during the draft. I don’t know what his future holds but I’m rooting for Kenny Pickett.
