Everyone in Uniontown High School knows that summer vacation is right around the corner. So with school out of our schedule, that leaves students with a lot of free time. One way to keep yourself busy during these hot days, is exercise. It is important for teenagers to maintain a healthy lifestyle so instead of sitting at home, you could go for a run, or maybe a bike ride, or even a walk.
Another way to stay busy is just having fun with your friends. You could go to our local theater, or maybe go out to eat. You could also take a nice drive up the mountain. You could go swimming in Ohiopyle, or just walk some trails. There are also many local events, and carnivals during the summer that are local to Uniontown, like the Fayette County Fair. Our football team works there every year, so feel free to stop by this summer.
Also, if you are trying to earn money this summer, maybe for a car, or something you have been wanting for a long time, you could take getting a summer job into consideration. A lot of fast food places hire Uniontown High School students, Nemacolin Woodlands also hires as well. Another good idea is cutting grass for local neighbors. Summer jobs help teach students good work ethics, and they show them that not everything comes for free.
