What do you teach and how long have you been at UHS?
“Calculus and Academic Math Concepts. Since January 2006 (that’s 7 years for those mathematically disadvantaged readers)”
What do you enjoy about teaching at UHS?
“I love my students and being able to work with such motivated and competent people.”
Where did you attend college and where else have you worked?
“I went to Penn State University, main campus. I have worked at a variety of places since I was fifteen (library, retirement home, dairy farm, diner, etc.) I was a substitute at Ringold before coming to UHS.”
What are your reactions to the renovation?
“I hope I can now stop switching classrooms. The building looks great but as a math teacher, I miss all of my board space!”
Do you have any advice for UHS students?
“Keep your options open. Take a variety of classes and don’t close any doors for yourselves. It’s hard to imagine where you will be and what you will be doing in a few years.”
What do you like to do in your spare time?
“Spend time with my family and travel when possible. I have a two year old and a four month old, so my spare time is limited!”
