This year has shown us many ups and downs with no signs of stopping. As of right now, COVID-19 cases are on the incline with no chance of decreasing before this upcoming Thanksgiving. Many people have cancelled family events already and for safety purposes that is the way it should be. No matter how much we may want to see our loved ones, we want to make sure to maintain each other’s safety so we can ensure we have a chance to one day see them again.
The people most impacted by this virus when they catch it are the elderly. Due to possible preexisting conditions, a case of COVID could be deadly for an older family member. It is important that this year we refrain from seeing our grandparents, great aunts and uncles, etc. Under no means do we want to risk their health’s more than they already are.
This virus has been hard on all of us, but the only way it is going to get better is if we maintain social distancing guidelines. However hard it may be, we must not hug and kiss our family because as of right now it is not safe to do so. One day, hopefully soon, life will proceed as normal, and families will be reunited. However, right now is not the time to get together.
