The Life of a UASD Student

Right now in the life of a UHS student is a lot of relief. Most are enjoying the time home, and the relaxation of no school. There is a point when reality will set in for all these students. Everyone is wondering if next school year will be held online? Will class be able to be back in session this upcoming Fall? Nobody really knows the answer to these questions yet. If class were in session, a typical day in the life of a high school student that goes to UHS is this.

Waking up at the current time they need to get ready and taking whatever transportation that they do. They check their phones during this time just to see how everyone’s morning is going. They arrive at school around 7:20 to 7:35 am. If you arrive after 7:40 you are considered late and marked tardy. Students go to their assigned homeroom and it is extended on Thursdays for make up work and to visit the schools store and student run coffee shop. Uniontown is unique compared to other neighboring school districts as we are on a block schedule. First period is from 7:55 am until 9:25. Second period from 9:30 until 10:55. After this the lunches start and during this time lunches A-C rotate in 30-minute time slots. During this time third period is from 10:59 until 1:01 pm. We then finish the day with fourth period from 1:05 until 2:35. During these weeks, months, and four years of doing the same schedule. We make the best friends that last for a lifetime, and the memories that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.
