UHS’s Swim Team

The boys and girls swim team swept Thomas Jefferson at Tuesday’s swim meet at Elizabeth Forward.  The final score of the girls meet against TJ was: UHS-101, TJ-82, and the boys getting past by one point, 69-68.    There is another meet Thursday against Elizabeth Forward.

Tuesday against TJ, the winners of the girls events were: Alex Meadows, Sarah Novak, Elizabeth Klingensmith, and Torie Miller, winning the 200 medley relay in a time of 2:09.14.  Elizabeth Klingensmith, winning the 200 IM, in a time of 2:31.69.  Christina Homer, winning the 100 Fly in a time if 1:13.53.  Kristen Nedley, winning the 500 Free in a time of  6:46.28.  Alex Meadows, winning 100 Back in a time of 1:13.61. The girls are now 2-o in  section competition.

Many girls made new personal records in this meet as well, these girls include: Bella Baker, Maggie Franks, Sydney Green, Jordan Guthrie, Christina Homer, Elizabeth Klingsmith, Sera Meadows, Kristen Nedley, and Hannah Pierce.

The boys winners for the meet against TJ were: James Rabon, Logan Phillips, Nathan Hager, and Nate Edenfield, winning the 200 Medley Relay in a time of 2:01.97.  Nathan Hager, winning 50 Free in a time of 24.82 and 100 Free in a time of 58.39.  James Rabon, winning 100 Fly in a time of 1:03.60 and 100 Breast in a time of 1:11.26.  Nate Edenfield, winning 500 Free in a time of 6:55.20.  Nate Edenfield, Logan Phillips, Nathan Hager, and James Rabon, winning the 200 Free relay in a time of 1:48.74.  Danny Jones also placed first in diving with a 132.25.

A few of the boys also broke PR’s in last nights meet, including: Nate Edenfield, Nathan Hager, James Rabon, and Billy Seliga.
