Uniontown Gets Their First Win

Uniontown has done it! They won their first football game since 2016 breaking the longest losing streak in the state of Pennsylvania. This broke a 35 game losing streak. The final score was 41-6 defeating Carrick in their home opener. This was Uniontown’s first win on the season and the first win for new head coach Keith Jeffries.

A couple of the players were asked about the game and how they felt. Maurice Jackson, who ran for 84 yards and 2 touchdowns had this to say, “It felt good to be able to score knowing that we haven’t won in 5 years.”

Overall it was a great effort by the team and everyone contributed in a big way. We’ll see how the rest of the season goes and see if they can pick up another win.
