Uniontown Volleyball Makes Playoffs

Uniontown Volleyball has a record of 8-2 currently, with the losses against Albert Gallatin and Thomas Jefferson. Uniontown has two games left of regular season, their last two games are against the teams they lost to. These girls have some really good talent, they have potential to win the whole thing. These girls work hard every game that they play.

They just beat the cross town rival, the Laurel Highlands Mustangs. There were four sets, Uniontown won 3 of the 4. Riley Baker led the team with ten kills, five aces, and seven assists. The girls don’t know who their first playoff game will be against yet. They will host a game today at seven o’clock against Belle Vernon which is a section game. They tend to play better when their student section is there cheering them on.

For Uniontown to beat AG and TJ they will have to play smart, both are two really good teams that have experience. Uniontown has four really good seniors that will leaving after this year, they will still have some good young talent left behind. For example, Sequoia Dunlap, Amiah Deshields, Riley Baker will be returning next year. Good luck to the team as they compete for a playoff bid.
