Uniontown vs AG Football

It was a Friday night on September 17, 2021 and Uniontown Highschool Football Team played the Albert Gallatin Colonials. Uniontown ended up losing with a score of 34-0. It got very intense fast, there were people being called inappropriate words, racial slayings, and so on. We were fresh off a victory the week before, we played against Carrick Highschool. Uniontown came out slow and AG took advantage of it and went up 28-0 before the half.

At the hale, the team had a long talk in the locker room. At the start of the second half, Cam Jackson caught the kick off ball and ran it back for a touchdown. Unfortunately there was a flag on the play and the referees ruled it a block in the back against Uniontown. The team ended up back on the 25 yard line and punted the ball. We were able to stop AG in their first couple of possessions and even got a fumble recovery. AG scored one more touchdown before the game was over and made it 34-0 because they didn’t get the extra point. After the game the team went straight to the locker room without shaking hands, which shows how intense the game was. One of our players even got ejected for hitting someone after the play and knocking them out.

Uniontown will host Ringgold in the homecoming game at 7:00 at home.
