Finally the day has come! After being diagnosed with leukemia and undergoing a bone marrow transplant five months of recovery later the beloved Robin Roberts is back. ABC family welcomed back anchor Robin, Wednesday February 20, 2013, on the hit show Good Morning America at 7:00am EST.
Even though Robin is far from being fully recovered, she was able to come back to the loving job with the help and support of her family, friends, doctors, nurses, viewers, and fans. Physical therapy, and yoga have also helped Roberts regain her strength so she can get back to the show that she enjoys so much.
President Obama was also very happy to have the leading anchor back he says “Good morning America and welcome back Robin.”Other guests on set and via video ranged from Roberts’ siblings, Sally-Ann and Dorothy, to former secretary of state Hilary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey and Kobe Bryant. But no one was more happier than Robin herself, the first thing that Roberts said was “I have been waiting 174 days to say this: ‘Good Morning America.’ ”
Even though times have rough from Roberts we have to remember some people aren’t lucky enough to even get to were she is and appreciate that shes around. And if there’s one person Robin Roberts is definitely the one to beat the illness and get back to the way she use to be.
