Where Are They Now? Idea Eddings

Idea Eddings
Class of 2012

What do you remember about your high school graduation?

I remember how exciting it was to be walking down to receive my diploma, and the adrenaline rush of ending one chapter, and starting a new one.  I also remember not crying…weird!

What do you miss most about high school?

I miss being friends with everyone in my classroom, and knowing every single person’s name.

Are you continuing your education or working, or both?

I am a freshman at California University of Pennsylvania.  I am currently studying Liberal Studies & Dance.  But I plan on attending another school to study film/television.

Do you feel that high school prepared you for your work now and what has been some surprising things about work/school?

High School does not prepare you for college at all. It’s all new and very scary, stressful, and exciting at the same time.

Are you friends with the same people from high school and have you made new friends?

I talk to some people from high school, but I wouldn’t say we are “friends”, more like long lost pals.  I’ve made a lot of new friends in college though.

Have you seen the completed renovations?

I have not, but I plan on visiting very soon!

Do you have any words of advice for current students?

Follow what your heart tells you to do.  College is a chance to become what you want to be.  Anything is possible if you work hard for what you want, and college isn’t for everyone..
